A finer gaming laptop
The new ASUS notebook has been presented under the Republic of Gamers (ROG) label, and its most striking feature is its design. Zephyrus is not only visually appealing, but its profile narrows from 17.9 to 16.9 millimeters at its thinnest point. This thickness leaves still far from the 10.9 millimeters of the Flip S, but practically equals the 17.9 mm of the ASUS ZenBook Pro. Not bad for a gaming computer.
The Zephyrus features a seventh-generation Intel Core i7 processor (Kaby Lake) accompanied by NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics. It also features the Active Aerodynamic System (AAS) developed by ROG, an exclusive cooling system From the manufacturer they have designed to be as cool and quiet as possible without sacrificing performance.

In this aspect of the ventilation touches back to the design, because the exterior of the notebook is such that when you open it, a part of the bottom of the chassis is flexed to increase the volume of airflow, by 20 percent according to ASUS, And thus increase air circulation and thus improve ventilation.
It also features a 15.6-inch screen with Full HD resolution and a 120Hz panel, 100% sRGB color gamut and NVIDIA G-SYNC technology to improve the quality of game images. The ASUS Zephyrus can also be equipped with up to 24 GB of RAM, and has a USB Type-C with Thunderbolt 3, 4 USB 3.1, an HDMI 2.0, a jack of 3.5 mm and a weight that rises to 2.2 Kilograms.
Another striking feature of the laptop is its keyboard. This, to make room for internal components has very little space, and have taken the curious decision to place the touchpad on the side where the number keys should be. The touchpad has 10 touch keys, so you can use it as both a numeric keypad and the mouse itself.
Finally, the operating system chosen by ASUS has been Windows 10 Pro, with which they hope to benefit from the new Game Mode included in the Creators Update.
ASUS Zephyrus, price and availability
The great unknown of this new laptop of Republic of Gamers is its price, since ASUS has not revealed as it could be when it arrives at the market. Neither have announced concrete dates for its launch, although they warn that they will say during the next months.
